A limited edition Paddington Bear with blue duffle coat, black hat, red wellington boots and label ‘Darkest Peru to London England via Paddington Stn’.
Issued in a limited edition of only 1000 of which this is number 844.
The authentication tag reads; 'In 1972 Shirley Clarkson (mother of Jeremy Clarkson) designed a Paddington Bear based on the character created by Michael Bond in his book A Bear Called Paddington , which was first published in 1958. After acquiring the license, the bears were manufactured by Gabrielle Designs in Yorkshire, England for almost 25 years. This bear is a replica of Shirley's original design and is the only Paddington to be made in the United Kingdom'.
Paddington stands approximately 46cm tall and is in very good condition.
