'Silence is Golden'

Lionel Edwards (1878-1966), ‘Silence is Golden’, charcoal and pencil of a stag among branches and undergrowth, framed and glazed.

Signed with initials and indistinctly inscribed lower right. Inscribed label verso.

Provenance: Bellmans Fine Art Auctioneers, January 2018 sale, lot 1096.

Inside of mount measures 24cm x 19.5cm and the frame 49.5cm x 39.5cm. In good overall condition with some discolouring to paper.
