Australian Tour 1948, "The Invincibles" - Australia Retain the Ashes, England 0 - Australia 4, 1 Draw, large framed presentation to include two sheets signed by the Australia and England teams respectively and five signed monochrome photographs, one of which showing Don Bradman's final ball in test cricket and signed by Bradman, and a scorecard to centre.
Provenance: Chiswick Auctions, The Henry Blofeld Collection, 1st March 2017, lot 114.
Henry Blofeld: "I bought this collage of photographs and scorecards from Nicholas Potter's long since closed, shop in New Burlington Street. This ball, Don Bradman's last in Test cricket, at the Oval in 1948, has to be the most important in the history of cricket. I was a great friend of Arthur Morris the left hander who was batting at the other end and went onto make 196 and died nearly two years ago as the oldest surviving Test cricketer".
Measures 97cm x 73cm overall.

What our customers say

It is always a challenge to sell one’s treasures belongings, but PM Antiques offered me good financial value, and completely took the stress out of the situation.

Lorraine

PM Antiques & Collectables offered a realistic and reasonable amount for my collectable, as compared with the unknown outcome of an auction and the associated fees and expenses, and the process was professional throughout and very speedy.
