Archibald Thorburn (1860-1935), songbirds beside a nest, watercolour on paper, housed within a gilt card mount and gilt gesso frame.
Signed to lower right. Sotheby’s label and chalk marks verso.
Inside of mount measures 30cm x 20cm and the frame 52cm x 40cm. In good overall condition. A few typical scattered fox marks. The paper bows outwards a little so thought not to be laid down. Some gesso loss to frame.
