The Sandy Brown Collection

Sandy Brown (1939-2014) - An interesting and extensive personal collection of footballing awards, memorabilia and ephemera.
Provenance: From the family of late Sandy Brown, former Everton footballer. Brown made over 250 appearances for ‘The Toffees’ between 1963 and 1971, and was influential in their FA Cup winning season of 1965/66 and title winning season of 1969/70.
Comprising:
Everton Football Club - 1966 FA Cup winners plaque on oak presentation mount. Awarded to Alex (Sandy) Brown by E.F.C.S.F.C. Plaque measures 13cm high and the mount 19cm.
Everton Football Club - 1966 Football Association Challenge Cup winners plaque awarded to A. D. (Sandy) Brown. Accompanied by a hand written letter to Brown from Dave Dixon praising the player’s attitude after being omitted from the team selection for the final. Plaque measures 15cm (h) x 14cm (w).
Everton Football Club - 1969/70 Football League 1st Division Champions plaque awarded to A. D. (Sandy) Brown, on oak presentation mount. The medal is understood to be in Everton’s hall of fame. Plaque measures 14.3cm (h) x 13.9cm (w).
Everton Football Club - 125th Anniversary release shirt presented to Sandy Brown, signed by former players including Gordon West and Dennis Stevens. Size large. Accompanied by a photograph of the shirt being presented to Sandy Brown. In good condition, some of the ink has penetrated through the cloth.
Everton Football Club - 1968 FA Cup Final team photograph signed by the squad and management staff. Measures 10 x 12 inches. Generally in good condition with wear and creasing.
Everton Football Club - 1965/66 squad photograph by Albert Marrion Photography, mounted on card. Photograph measures 16.5cm x 24.5cm and the card 25cm x 30.5cm. In good overall condition.
Everton Football Club - 1966/67 squad photograph by Albert Marrion Photography, mounted on card. Photograph measures 17.3cm x 24.6cm and the card 25.5cm x 30.5cm. In good overall condition with some foxing and creasing.
Everton Football Club - 1967/68 squad photograph by Herbert Hughes Photography, mounted on card. Photograph measures 17.6cm x 25cm and the card 25.5cm x 30.5cm. In good overall condition with some marks present.
Everton Football Club - Another, different 1967/68 squad photograph by Herbert Hughes Photography, mounted on card. Photograph measures 16.4cm x 24.9cm and the card 25.5cm x 30.5cm. In good overall condition with some marks present.

Everton Football Club - Everton v Liverpool, Merseyside derby, three black and white photographs, each bearing narrative label and copyright stamp verso.
Everton Football Club - Collection of black and white photographs featuring Sandy Brown, some bearing copyright stamps verso. Together with a signed group photograph and various telegrams and match-day ephemera.
Everton Football Club - Approximately twenty-three match-day programmes from the 1960/70s and approximately eighteen match-day programmes from the 1980/90s.
Partick Thistle Football Club - Eleven black and white photographs featuring Sandy Brown (who played for the club between 1957 and 1963), most bearing copyright stamps verso. Together with a telegram sent to Brown from John Blair upon the player’s move from Partick Thistle to Everton in 1963.
Alex (Sandy) Brown - Three Scottish Football Association 'Registration of a Professional' form slips dating 1956, 1961 and 1963.
