Charles Leslie (1835-1890), Highland landscape with figures on the bank of a loch, oil on canvas painting, within a swept gilt composition frame.
Signed and dated 1873 lower right.
Measures 34.5cm x 38cm and the frame 47cm x 43cm. Formerly relined and restored with overpainting and filling. Craquelure and minor surface blemishes throughout, though the paint is seemingly rather stable. Old varnish is uneven and beginning to discolour. Some rubbing and wear to frame.
