Edward Bawden

Edward Bawden was a British artist, illustrator and printmaker, born in 1903, and a key figure in the Great Bardfield group. He worked across prints, book covers, posters, murals and commercial design, and was also an official war artist during the Second World War. His linocuts and graphic works are known for strong composition, architectural detail and a distinctive sense of British character.
