Denise Wren

Denise Wren was an Australian-born British studio potter, and one of the first female studio potters in Britain. She founded Oxshott Pottery with her husband Henry in Surrey in 1920, helping establish one of England’s most celebrated studio potteries. Her work is closely linked with Arts and Crafts ideals, hand-built methods, experimental glazing and the revival of salt-glazed stoneware.
