David Shepherd

David Shepherd was a British artist and conservationist best known for wildlife paintings, especially elephants, big cats and African landscapes. He also painted steam locomotives, aircraft and portraits, reflecting two of his lifelong interests: animals and engines. Shepherd’s art is closely linked with conservation, and he founded the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation to support endangered wildlife. His prints and paintings suit people who enjoy traditional wildlife art, railway subjects or meaningful pieces with a clear story behind them.
