Sherree Valentine Daines: An Overview Of The Great British Impressionist Artist

Sherree Valentine Daines is a well known British impressionist artist. She has created some marvellous pieces that we are lucky to stock some of. Here’s a brief summary of the artist.

How she became an artist

Unlike with most artists, Daines didn’t always know she wanted to be a painter. It wasn’t until the age of 18, after Daines had begun work in the legal industry, that she realised her passion. She then studied fine art at Epsom School of Art for 4 years to hone her skills. From here she began experimenting with what she liked to paint, using inspiration from holidays and trips to London.

‘The face of modern British impressionism’

To many painting critics and lovers of art, this title is one she has earned. Daines has even painted the likes of Joanna Lumley and Michael Parkinson. She has gained worldwide renown for her artwork, with even the Royal Family collecting her pieces.

Official artist

Daines is also hugely popular for sporting paintings, from tennis, to cricket and rugby. She has become well known, particularly for being the official artist of the Rugby World Cup.

Where are her pieces displayed?

There are some extremely well known museums and galleries in her portfolio. But to name a few, they are present at the Tate Gallery, the Barbican, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Laing Landscape Exhibition, and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
