Bolviller Carriage Clock
A mid-19th century Bolviller of Paris one-piece brass and glass cased carriage clock bearing white enamelled dial plate with Roman numerals and Arabic minute markers. Plate signed ‘Bolviller a Paris’. The twin-train movement has a striking bell with lever platform escapement and is stamped ‘Bolviller a Paris’ and ‘138LM’.
Measures 17cm high (inc swing handle) and is in good overall cosmetic condition with some wear to casing and blemishes to glass. The side window panels do rattle somewhat. Please refer to illustrations to make your own analysis of condition.
Movement has been tested basically and is winding, ticking and striking though it will need adjusting accordingly for accuracy of timekeeping and chiming. Lacking key.
